Natalie & Dave’s Enchanting Wedding at Provence's Iconic Château de Tourreau

September in Provence is a time of golden light, gentle warmth, and an air of romance that seems to seep into every stone and vine. It was the perfect backdrop for Natalie and Dave’s breathtaking wedding, planned and designed by us at Sarah Thomas Events. With 90 guests flying in from across the globe—predominantly from Australia and the UK—this celebration at the stunning Château de Tourreau was a showcase of timeless elegance and impeccable design.

A Welcome Worth Travelling For

The festivities began with a lively pool party that set the tone for the days ahead. With colourful grazing platters and cocktails created by us and music provided by our wonderful accordionist, Jacques, the afternoon had a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe that allowed everyone to settle in.

After a short break for a shower and outfit change, guests were greeted back to the poolside by the vibrant sounds of The Beat Chiefs, and charmed by a fabulous magician booked through Scarlett Entertainlent, who worked his way through the crowd leaving everyone in awe. With the help of Guillaume Bernard Creative, we installed string lighting overhead and setup a fabulously colourful tablescape and lemon inspired bar for a delicious barbecue welcome dinner catered by Brunch Me Up, offering a warm welcome to guests as they mingled under the Provençal sky.

The Wedding Day: Classic Elegance Meets Unforgettable Moments

On the big day itself, whilst Natalie and her entourage were being expertly styled by Ylva Langenskiold and her team, the château was being transformed into a vision of timeless beauty. The floral arrangements, crafted under our floral brand Opera de Gardenia in collaboration with the brilliant Guillaume Bernard Creative, framed every moment with exquisite precision. From the soft, romantic florals of the ceremony to the contemporary tablescapes at dinner, every detail was a celebration of classic design.

Guests arrived to the enchanting sounds of Doriane Cheminais on the harp, creating an ethereal atmosphere in the front gardens whilst they sipped champagne in anticipation. At 4 o'clock, the heavy château front doors were opened and the grandeur of the château's grounds was exposed for all to see.

For the ceremony, a 30-metre-long white carpet stretched elegantly down the central pathway to the pond, with its magnificent fountain. The exquisite pianist Damien Keys played as guests took their seats, adding a touch of magic to an already poignant moment.

The ceremony itself was officiated by the wonderful Claire Macintyre, whose heartfelt words brought together friends and family from across continents in a celebration of love.

Cocktail Hour and Dinner: A Feast for the Senses

As guests transitioned to the cocktail hour, they were treated to the soulful melodies of Silver Moon Jazz, setting a relaxed yet lively tone, alongside a cigar bar and delicious hors d'oeuvres and live cooking stations from exceptional caterer, Maison Nans.
