Planning & Services

1 / What services do you offer, and how are they different from other planners/designers?

You can explore our services here. What sets us apart comes down to two things:

  1. Scope & Expertise — Many planners focus on one small region. Our clients often contemplate multiple countries, so Sarah has made it her mission to be an expert across France and Italy, with extensive research and networks in surrounding countries too.

  2. Creative Direction — We don’t just plan; we design. Sarah’s conceptual design service is unusual in the industry, ensuring that every aesthetic element sits under one umbrella. The result? Visual cohesion across the entire celebration, from stationery to florals to tablescapes — and an experience that feels effortless from start to finish.

2 / How far in advance should we book you?

We’ve been booked anywhere from three years to three weeks before a wedding. Ideally, though, you’ll want to secure your planner 12–18 months in advance. By the one-year mark, it’s wise to have us on board to guide decisions and secure the best venues and vendors.

3 / Should we book our venue or planner first?

We may be biased, but we strongly recommend booking your planner first. Venues rarely have the expertise to advise on the overall financial plan of your wedding, and we’ve seen too many couples overspend because their dream day wasn’t achievable at their chosen venue within budget. With over a decade’s experience, we also know which venues can be trusted — and which are prone to hidden fees. Better to have us by your side from day one.

4 / Can you customize your services to fit our needs and budget?

We’re flexible and open to tailoring packages if you’ve already made progress — whether you’ve worked with another planner or begun planning yourselves. While we don’t discount our pricing (because our service is always delivered at full commitment and excellence), we do believe in being fair and reasonable. You’ll always receive our all.

5 / Do you work with preferred vendors, or can we bring our own?

Both! You’re welcome to bring your own vendors, and we love expanding our network — it’s how our “little black book” has become so colourful. We also have a trusted roster we recommend. We simply ask that you check with us before confirming any vendor independently, as there may be practical considerations (for example, bringing musicians from the U.S. can require costly equipment hire).

6 / How involved will you be on the wedding day itself?

Extensively. On your wedding day, Sarah is on site for around 16 hours, plus the day before and/or after as needed. Two days prior, she’ll meet you in person to walk through every detail so you feel stress-free heading into the celebrations.
On the day:

  • Sarah manages vendor coordination, oversees the schedule, and ensures you’re cared for — all while staying discreetly in the background.

  • Guillaume, our stylist, collaborates with our floral consultant to perfect every visual detail, timing installations to create seamless transitions.
Together, our team ensures that both the logistics and aesthetics unfold like clockwork.

Design & Florals

1 / Can you create a bespoke design concept for our celebration?

Absolutely — this is our signature. Sarah Thomas was born to create. She designed her first piece of furniture at 15, composed her first symphony at 19, and has spent a lifetime refining her artistry. Every event she designs is a composition: an orchestration of colour, texture, and emotion, meticulously arranged to evoke wonder.

Sarah’s approach is deeply personal. She curates florals, fabrics, and lighting with the precision of a composer — each detail harmonising within the bigger picture. Through comprehensive design boards and immersive mock-ups, couples experience the magic long before it materialises. Often pioneering concepts never before seen in weddings, she ensures that every celebration feels effortless yet extraordinary.

2 / Do you provide florals in-house or collaborate with florists?

We offer florals in-house, led by Sarah and our trusted floral consultant, with Guillaume directing the styling. This integrated approach ensures that flowers, décor, stationery, and textiles work in perfect harmony.

3 / How do you ensure the design reflects our personalities and story?

Your wedding design begins with your story. Through conversations, visual exercises, and mood boards, Sarah interprets your personalities and aesthetic preferences into a cohesive atmosphere. No two weddings ever look alike — because no two couples are alike.

4 / Do you also handle rentals such as linens, furniture, and tableware?

Yes, absolutely. From custom linens and artisan ceramics to furniture and lighting, we source and manage all rental needs, ensuring they align with the overall design.

5 / How do you do all this and still have time to take care of us?

Because we limit ourselves to just five full-service weddings each year, Sarah is able to give every couple the personal attention they deserve. While she designs and oversees the entire aesthetic, she entrusts the on-the-day installations to our stylist and floral consultant — people she knows and trusts to bring the vision to life flawlessly. That way, Sarah can stay by your side when it matters most.

At a recent wedding in Tuscany, for example, Sarah was able to sew up the bride’s dress after a wardrobe malfunction minutes before the ceremony while simultaneously helping the groom with his pocket square — because the team was handling the ceremony set-up. Her role, which she doesn't take lightly, is to anticipate the unexpected, solve problems before you even notice them, and make sure you feel completely supported throughout your day.

Logistics

1 / Do you assist with accommodation and travel logistics for guests?

Yes — we offer a dedicated Guest Management add-on. This covers having a member of our team available for guest questions during the planning period, as well as providing a 24-hour concierge service during the wedding itself.

If you decide against this package, Sarah will help you plan the logistics, but communication with guests will remain with you. We kindly ask that her contact details not be shared directly with guests, so she can stay focused on making your day perfect.

2 / Can you help us navigate cultural or language barriers?

Absolutely. Our team is international and bilingual — fluent in English and French — ensuring seamless communication with all vendors and venues.

3 / How do you manage timelines and keep everything on track?

We use Aisle Planner, an industry-leading online platform, where you’ll have access to planning tools, checklists, budgets, and design boards. On the day, Sarah follows meticulously built timelines, which are shared with every vendor so that the whole team is working from the same script.

4 / What happens if something goes wrong on the day?

Here’s a secret: something always goes wrong! From unexpected weather to tipsy uncles, we’ve seen it all. Sarah is a master at solving issues quietly and efficiently — usually before you even notice. Your only job is to enjoy yourself.

Practicalities

1 / How do your fees work?

Our fees are based on the scope of planning and design required, rather than a percentage of spend. This ensures you receive consistent value regardless of budget. Every wedding is bespoke, and our proposals are tailored after an introductory call, but our base planning packages remain the same. You can request our brochure here.

2 / Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We ask for a 40% non-refundable booking deposit to secure your date (this reflects the fact that we may not be able to replace a cancelled booking). The remaining balance is split into instalments, with the final payment due the month before your wedding.

3 / Do you carry insurance?

Yes, we are fully insured.

4 / How do we get started with you?

Simply book an introductory call here. Sarah will be delighted to hear about your vision and answer any preliminary questions. You may also request our brochure here. After your call, we’ll send a tailored proposal so you can move forward with confidence.
